<p>VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced that the VIA EPIA CL6000 Mini-ITX mainboard has been adopted by Vermont-based Logic Supply, Inc., a well-known Mini-ITX systems provider and retailer, for its new range of Perimeter™ firewall appliances.</p>

<p>Offering an excellent price-performance ratio and the kind of flexibility and feature set ideal for small and medium sized businesses, Perimeter firewalls take full advantage of the small size, quiet operation and energy efficiency of the VIA EPIA CL6000 Mini-ITX mainboard featuring the fanless VIA Eden processor. The Perimeter range features dual, quad and six-port models to suit multiple networking applications, as well as a rackmountable series for professional network operators.</p>
<p>All Perimeter firewalls run m0n0wall, an ultra-compact firewall package based on the robust FreeBSD core, an open source operating system widely respected for its stability and tough-as-nails security, with an intuitive web interface to make implementing complex firewall configurations a breeze. Cutting edge network technologies are placed at the network administrator’s fingertips, with tools such as VPN, DNS forwarding and traffic shaping, along with traditional features such as packet filtering and network address translation.</p>
