News: Cache L2 nelle cpu Hammer
Inviato: 29 nov 2002, 15:51<br>Stando a quanto <a href="http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=6462">riportato</a> da The Inquirer, le cpu AMD Athlon 64, appartenenti alla famiglia Hammer, verranno fuori con due versioni, la più economica avrà 256Kb di cache L2, la più costosa avrà invece 1MB, mentre l'Opteron (SledgeHammer) avrà 1MB di cacle L2.
The Desktop Hammer -- which, as we know, will be labelled the Athlon 64 (and not the Athlon DT, as some doughnut suggested here) -- will come in two flavours. As the Mageek stated back here, "The simple Athlon 64 will come in 256K and 1MB integrated L2 cache versions, while the Sludgehammer will have 1MB integrated L2 cache."
