<br>Come per i processori AMD Athlon basati su core Thunderbird, sembra che di nuovo AMD, un po' per volta, stia migliorando il processo di produzione, atto ad ottenere frequenze più alte ed un minor calore prodotto dal chip.<br>
E' infatti in lavorazione la revisione C per il core Throughbread, questo perchè il core Barton sembra particolarmente costoso e di conseguenza AMD sta cercando di ottenere un chip economico ma con ottime prestazioni.<br>

Eventually, the number two CPU maker on the planet may start to offer the new Thoroughbred C0 as entry-level solutions. It probably will not happen until the third or fourth quarter next year and just in case AMD is not able to provide a lot of Athlon XP “Barton” and Athlon 64 CPUs for all segments of the market in order to compete with Pentium 4 processors with Hyper-Threading enabled and 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus.
