Elmshorn - 02. June 2004 - "As of now, we are Prescott-capable", declares Bastian Fröhlig, PR Manager of Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. The Taiwan-based market leader for mini-PCs and the producer of mainboards has expanded a few models for operation with Intel Pentium 4 and a Prescott core. The core has a 1 MB cache and imposes special requirements on a PC system's power supply. Shuttle has therefore adapted the XPC models ST62K, ST61G4VP, SB75G2VP and SB61G2V3 to the new requirements. All models have CPU speeds up to 3.4 GHz.

"Besides the Prescott support, we also gave special attention to loudness", explains Bastian Fröhlig, "so we've upgraded these models with the new 250 watt Silent-X power supply."

Shuttle has also equipped models SN85G4V2 (for Athlon 64), SN45GV2 and SN41G2V2 with the Silent-X power pack, to reduce operating loudness even more.

Shuttle is planning further innovations for late June. "We'll then present two new housing designs", the PR Manager announced.
