Elmshorn - 02. June 2004 - "As of now, we are Prescott-capable", declares Bastian Fröhlig, PR Manager of Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. The Taiwan-based market leader for mini-PCs and the producer of mainboards has expanded a few models for operation with Intel Pentium 4 and a Prescott core. The core has a 1 MB cache and imposes special requirements on a PC system's power supply. Shuttle has therefore adapted the XPC models ST62K, ST61G4VP, SB75G2VP and SB61G2V3 to the new requirements. All models have CPU speeds up to 3.4 GHz.<p>

"Besides the Prescott support, we also gave special attention to loudness", explains Bastian Fröhlig, "so we've upgraded these models with the new 250 watt Silent-X power supply."

Shuttle has also equipped models SN85G4V2 (for Athlon 64), SN45GV2 and SN41G2V2 with the Silent-X power pack, to reduce operating loudness even more.

Shuttle is planning further innovations for late June. "We'll then present two new housing designs", the PR Manager announced.
