July, 2003 - Taipei, Taiwan -Thermaltake Technology today released the most advanced air cool heat sink fan: Silent Boost. Their latest offering is said to incorporate a highly complex Hydro Wave Bearing fan along with high density all copper heat sink.

From this product, Thermaltake also design the series label to present the features of the cooling solution. Silent Boost can match both "low noise" and "performance" function to be the best choice cooler.

Silent Boost is categorized in Thermaltake's high performance Volcano Series line for AMD Athlon XP 3400+ application. Heat sink's design greatly increased the surface area to dissipate more efficiently with following dimension: 82mm x 70mm x 49mm. High-density fins (41 fins) also allow heat to be distributed even across the heat sink.

In an effort to decrease the relative noise level without compromising performance, Silent Boost is utilizing Hydro Wave Bearing fan with specially designed cross-section vents and it's noise level is only 21 dBA. These cross-section vents enables multi-directional air intake to increase airflow while keeping wind noise to the minimal.
Hydro Wave Bearing technology is a new innovation, which can reduce the friction, noise and temperature rise within the bearing system. Fan unit is specified at 80mm x 80mm x 25mm in dimension.

3-prong clip mechanism is integrated to ensure heat sink is in complete contact with the CPU surface for maximum heat transfer.
