prova anche a impostare, nell'xorg.conf, le frequenze reali del tuo monitor, che dovresti trovare nel manuale di istruzione o in giro per la rete, nella sezione Monitor

forse è finito l'inferno...

una trovata che in certi casi è previdenziale, per me si è rivelata un'autentico calvario... l'auto detect del monitor...

partiamo dagli inizi... per via del monitor non mi partiva il cd live, pomeriggio mi so detto, e che cavolo devo mettere dinuovo sto ubuntu, ho infilato il cd e l'ho fatto partire in modalità sicura "credevo che nn lo installasse" invece sorpressa è andato tutto ok, io contentissimo dopo 30min già avevo finito l'installazione, avvio il "nuovo" ubuntu e noto che già ce il driver ati caricato... mi so detto, è un brutto presagio... non mi so sbagliato dalle 3 alle 8 di sera avrò riconfigurato 30/40 volte il config.org? mi sa d+... tutto filava liscio fino a quando riavviavo e non vedevo + nulla

non mi sono perso d'animo, ho configurato centinaia di volte il config.org ma nulla al riavvio partiva sempre a 1600x1200a 85Hz...

alla fine sono riuscito a sistemare il tutto configurando a mano il config.org così

qui ho messo Vertrefresh 50-135 al posto di 80-160

adesso giunge il bello facendo l'installazione di ubuntu win nn parte + dicendomi k manca una dll in system32... credo che boot.ini si sia danneggiato... dove lo trovo e come sistemo?
