VRZone ha riportato una news estremamente interessante, sembra sia possibile un ulteriore modifica alla già acclamata Radeon 9500.
Osservando infatti la disposizione delle resistenze attorno alla GPU si è notata l'estrema semplicità in cui si incorrerebbe per modifcare una 9500 in una potentissima (e costosissima) FireGL.
Osservate le resistenze nell'immagine.

It is getting more interesting as there is a possibility that a Radeon 9500 can be further modded into FireGL M1 card (also based on R300 core) by shifting resistor from 4-5 to 5-6 position. Specific functions for more expensive workstation card like FireGL could be unlocked but a BIOS tweak might be needed.
