MOD AthlonXP per 400FSB


Sembra che alcune cpu AMD AthlonXP con core di default a 333mhz di fsb, abbiano alcuni problemi a rimanere stabili in overclock a 400mhz di fsb sulle schede madri basate su chipset Nvidia Nforce2.
Sudhian ha trovato un rimedio al problema, che consisterebbe nel tagliare uno dei collegamenti dei bridge L12

The problem, apparently, is that the nForce2 (and possibly the KT400 as well) destabilizes when the front-side bus is overclocked using a 333 MHz FSB CPU. The solution (which we've tested) is to cut one of the L12 bridges on the CPU—the exact one is pictured below. Cutting this particular bridge forces a motherboard to recognize a CPU as a 266 MHz part, rather than a 333. Because the CPU's multiplier is still set to 12.5 (and full adjustments are available) it means default settings will drop the chip to AMD 2000+ speed, but the CPU can easily be returned to a default multiplier and 166 MHz bus.
