Recensione Shuttle AK35GTR

The Tech Report a questo indirizzo ha pubblicato la recensione della Shuttle AK35GTR dotata di ben 6 slot PCI e 4 slot DDR grazie anche al chipset VIA KT266A.

Well, it looks like Shuttle has done it again. The AK35GTR is as good as the best KT266A boards we've tested, including Soyo's magnificent DRAGON Plus and Epox's EP-8KHA+. The folks at Shuttle seem intent on making a name for themselves in enthusiast circles, and with boards like this one, they're bound to succeed.

I wish we could have tested the AK35GTR's ATA/133 single-drive and RAID capabilities, but unfortunately, our ATA/133 drives haven't arrived yet. In the meantime, you'll want to keep in mind that all VIA chipset-based motherboards may hit a bottleneck in VIA's PCI bus implementation. VIA has released a patch for the KT266A chipset and Promise RAID controllers, but so far, no patch for Highpoint devices has been released.
