Sharp ha annunciato il nuovo monitor 15" LCD stereoscopico che utilizza una tecnologia di parallasse per creare un effetto tridimensionale, visualizzando, in pratica, due immagini indipendenti. Questo nuovo modello sarà disponibile inizialmente solo per il mercato giapponese.

Sharp Corporation announces the introduction into the Japanese market of the 15-inch LL-151D 3D LCD Color Monitor that provides a 3D (stereoscopic) display without the need for special glasses and that can easily be switched to a conventional 2D (planar) display. This new display is targeted at a wide range of application and content developers, and at commercial users studying its potential for business-oriented uses.

The LL-151D can be manually switched from a 2D to a 3D display with the touch of a button. In addition, the display can be automatically switched between 2D mode and 3D mode*1 under software program control provided the software supports Sharp 3D Technology*2.

*1 Requires a computer with a USB port.
*2 Proprietary technology developed by Sharp to achieve a 3D stereoscopic image display. Software that supports Sharp 3D Technology can switch the display between 2D and 3D mode under program control.
