VIA CLAIMED its overall business grew by over 10 per cent during 2001, representing net sales of close to $976 million (NT$34.15 billion). But the revenues, which represent sales of chipsets, CPUs as well as comms and multimedia chips, were not broken out by sector, so making it hard to gauge how well individual products have sold.
The 10 per cent growth figure, although hailed by Via as evidence the firm is performing strongly, comes despite tough market conditions, said Richard Brown, head of marketing at Via Technologies.
