Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH, the leading designer and manufacturer of Small Form Factor (SFF) computers and accessories, is proud to announce that the company has received the prestigious "red dot design award." Shuttle XP17 TFTs will be awarded with the design award in the category "media and consumer electronics".

The internationally renowned jury reviewed 1,857 products and awarded prizes to 421 outstanding designs. "Our decades of work as design promoters are now coming to fruition," says Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, the initiator of the red dot design award. "Hardly anything is possible without a high-quality design today. The design standards have risen constantly - not only in the high price segment, but finally also in the general market. This leads to increased competition and has the effect that companies have to become even more innovative in the future and have to achieve long-term costumer loyalty through design."

The award ceremony will take place on on July 4, 2005 in the Essen Aalto Theatre. The award-winning products will be exhibited in the special exhibition "Design Innovations 2005 - red dot award: product design" from July 5 to August 7, 2005, in the red dot design museum located in Essen, Germany. The red dot design museum houses the largest permanent exhibition of contemporary design worldwide.
