Overall, the SiS745 chipset is fast and it does perform very well in content creation softwares which serves the purpose for those who do lots of spreadsheets, mpeg encoding etc. 3D performance is just 0.5% difference from the KT266A counterparts which is very minor. Overall I/O is also improved. If you are on a tight budget and with that in mind, the SiS745 is still a viable option available for your consideration. The boards should be in the range of USD 70-85.
