With the release of the ATI RADEON 8500, a stir was definitely created in the video card community. Not only was there finally some serious competition for the GeForce 3 line of video cards, but at a lower cost to boot! With the demise of 3dfx, NVIDIA seemed destined to own the high performance video card crown. I for one am happy to see ATI staying in the hunt. Competition in general breeds better, faster, and cheaper products.
