Con il comunicato seguente, Trascend ha fatto sapere di essere pronta all'introduzione su larga scala delle RAM DDR333 o comunemente chiamate PC2700:

TranscendÂ’s DDR333 DIMMs have been successfully tested on the SiS system platform, and obtained SiS quality certification and approval. DDR333 DIMMs from Transcend operate at a peak bandwidth of 2.7GB per second. Thus, DDR333 DIMMs have a data transfer rate 2.5 times higher than conventional SDRAM modules, and 25% faster than DDR266 modules. Due to this higher speed, DDR333 DIMMs can enhance overall system performance by more than 10% over systems that use DDR266.
