The Korean memory maker will release details of the part Tuesday (May 28) , making it the first company to publicly launch what is expected to become a next-generation mainstream DRAM. IBM Corp. has already developed a memory interface for an earlier version of the part — a 2.5-volt, 128-Mbit DDR-II prototype — and completed early system-level evaluations.
