Many PC cases, especially models that aren't exactly the newest on the market, offer too few USB ports for routine use and conceal the USB ports that are available on the hard-to-reach back side of the housing. Sharkoon's new internal 4-port USB hub gives users a way to easily equip their computer with four frontal USB ports. The hub is constructed from black plastic and can be installed in either a 3.5" drive bay or a 5.25" bay using the included mounting frame. Each of the four USB ports can in turn be expanded as needed -- those who like can even connect up to 127 USB devices with the PC simultaneously.
The Sharkoon 4-port USB hub offers a High-Speed USB connection with data
transfer rates of up to 480 MBit/s, supports hot swapping, and is compatible
with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. The hub is connected to the mainboard over an
internal USB cable and supplied with power by a power supply Y cable. Both
cables are included in delivery along with the 5.2" mounting frame, a screw
set, and a handbook.
