Su ExtremeTech è stata pubblicata a questo indirizzo un'interessante recensione riguardante la scheda video 3DLabs P10 destinata ad apparire in poco tempo nel settore delle workstation. Come si può chiaramente notare nei test, condotti in ambito OpenGL, la nuova scheda di 3DLabs comparata con la Nvidia Quadro4 GSX750 presenta nei confronti di quest'ultima un notevole gap prestazionale in quasi tutte le situazioni, fattore dovuto probabilmente anche ad un supporto non adeguato da parte dei driver.

As you may have seen in our OpenGL story, the Wildcat III 6110 proved its mettle versus Nvidia, particularly in the area of geometry performance, but it would appear that the PV870 isn't really ready for that match-up yet. We hope that subsequent driver releases will address these issues, and very much hope that Direct3D performance will improve considerably when P10-based gaming-focused cards come to market later this year. But for now, it's quite clear that Nvidia is the player to beat in the sub-$1,000 workstation 3D space, and that 3DLabs has its work cut out for it.
