Le scarse prestazioni dei nuovi Celeron basati su core Willamette con metà cache non sono niente di nuovo. Su The Inquirer tuttavia, a questo indirizzo, è comparso un interessante documento della stessa AMD dove si parla del famoso "MHz Myth" e della presunta scarsezza del nuovo chipset i845G tanto sbandierato da Intel:

AMD lists the applications that Celerons in combination with the 845G chipset can't run as Tiger Woods 2002, which won't play in hardware mode; Spiderman, which crashes; Nascar 2002 which crashes. The firm claims that the Celeron with the 845G "appears to be obsolete before the customer gets it home".
