Piani di SiS per notebook Hammer
In una news di The Inquirer si possono leggere alcune interessanti informazioni sui piani di SiS per la versione a basso consumo di Hammer e per l'ormai "agli sgoccioli" architettura K7.
AMD processors The 855, the Hammer K8-800 SIS will introduce is already sampling this month. SIS gives no official date as to when it will ship.
The 746FX, is a K7 DDR 400 chipset with AGP 8X which is likely to sample in Q4.
Early next year, SIS will intro the Hammer K8/800, with Ultra 256 graphics – that will sample in Q4 of this year.
SIS also has some notebook chipsets up its sleeve. The Hammer 755 K8/800 one will sample next month. That's early for a mobile Hammer chipset – suggesting to us that AMD is accelerating its plans for such processors.
The firm has another mobile Hammer chipset, the M760, a K8/800 model with AGP 8X, WUXGA, and Ultra 256 graphics, expected to sample Q1 of next year.
