Creative has just about squeezed enough out of the Audigy as they possibly can. There have been five separate products based on the same Audigy architecture (Audigy MP3+, Gamer, Platinum, Platinum EX, and the interesting little peculiarity known as the Extigy), without any real changes. With the public starting to get ancy for something new, Creative has quietly launched their Audigy2 line of cards under the radar of most publications. The fact that we don't see many architectural changes and the fact that the launch was so low profile in terms of Creative product launches immediately has shot up our radar.
