Athlon MP vs UltraSPARCIIi
Real Worldtech.com ha messo a confronto in una recensione una workstation basata su un Sunblade 150 a 650mhz con un'altra basta invece su di un Dual Athlon MP 2000+ con sistema operativo Linux.
Per i test si è utilizzata la simulazione di un circuito, ed è risultato migliore il sistema basato sull'Athlon.
The simulation took 1871 CPU seconds on the Sun but only 484 CPU seconds on the Athlon. That is a speedup of 3.9x over the Sun. This is much larger than might be predicted by SPEC CPU2K (probably due to the small dataset being simulated - the US-IIi probably doesn't get to exercise its on-chip memory controller very much compared to SPEC.
