August 2003 TAIPEI, TW- Thermaltake Technology Inc., has introduced a new breed of ultra high performance heat sink fan cooler designed specifically for maximum cooling: Volcano 12.
The latest Volcano Series offering from Thermaltake is based on high-density-fin technology code named Opti-Fin, which will dramatically decrease the overall weight of the heat sink while increasing the surface area available for far more effective heat dissipation.

<br>Volcano 12 has a total of 66 fins, a 61% increase in fins compared with the previous solution, which also contributes to greater surface area.

Equipped with a unique "triple-blade" fan, it is able to provide 26.50CFM at 2000RPM and an incredible 72.92CFM at only 5500RPM. This is all accomplished while keeping the noise level within the range of 21dBA ~ 48dBA. Maximum air pressure gain is the major advantage from the application of "triple-blade" fan: 3.29mmH2O at 2000rpm and 9.06mmH2O at 5500RPM.

<br>Through supplied 3.5" Drive Bay Controller or PCI Slot Controller, users are able to control the fan speed manually according to the working environment. Or by employing the Automatic Temperature Control feature, Volcano 12 is capable of adjusting its own fan speed according to CPU temperature.

<br>Volcano 12 will be available in September 2003 worldwide. Please http://www.thermaltake.com for detail specification and future updates.

08/2003: Taipei, Taiwan - Following Thermaltake's very successful launch of Xaser II and Xaser III Series Super Tower PC Chassis, Xaser III Series - Skull Edition mid-tower is officially released today with details on main features and applications.

<br>The latest Xaser III Series - Skull Edition will be a mid-tower chassis with (6) 5.25" drive bays, (2) exposed 3.5" drive bays and (3) hidden 3.5" drive bays. Making it one of the most versatile chassis in its class. While smaller in size comparing to its big brother, Skull Edition will retain several unique traits such as front accessible fan speed controllers, front USB 2.0 & Firewire ports, E-LED logos, backlighted LCD temperature display and more.

<br>The design of the latest Xaser III chassis enables users to install all PC components such as motherboard, CD-ROM, floppy drive and more without tools. Motherboard can be fitted and secured onto the chassis using Thermaltake's innovative Snap-on Spacers, which eliminates any use of screwdriver.

With high-performance systems getting hotter. New 3Ghz CPUs emit much more heat than the earlier and slower siblings. After long period of testing and analyzing, Thermaltake engineered the most efficient method to properly remove heat from its source. Four fans are strategically positioned for maximum airflow and to maintain healthy air circulation within the case: (1) left side 80mm intake fan, (1) right side 80mm intake fan and (2) rear 80mm exhaust fans.

In the past, enthusiasts who wish to show off the inside of their computer have to sacrifice EMI Shielding through the use of plexiglass. Xaser III - Skull Edition now utilizes a honeycomb style side window that is both highly transparent and EMI shielded.

<br>Xaser III - Skull Edition will be available in October 2003 worldwide. Please http://www.thermaltake.com for detail specification and future updates.

08/2003: Taipei, Taiwan - Venus 12, Silent Boost K8 and TR2 M6, the latest and most advanced thermal solutions by Thermaltake Technology designed specifically for AMD's highly anticipated processor, Athlon64. The latest solutions greatly reduce the die temperature for both the recently released AMD 64-bit Opteron workstation platform and for the latest Athlon64 processor to be officially announced in September of this year.

In order to meet the new generation of AMD Athlon CPU, we create three different functional cooler for the retail market : Venus12 for Overcolocked solution, Silent Boost K8 for Low noise solution and TR2 M6 for Practical solution. Of course, Thermaltake also arrange the table for serial K8 cooler for System Integrator. You can choose the one as your request easily.

Venus 12 and Silent Boost K8 will be offered as Ultra-High Performance series cooler and Silent Performance series cooler respectively.

<br>Both Silent Boost K8 and Venus 12 are based on all copper, high-density-fin technology code named Opti-Fin, which will dramatically decrease the overall weight of the heat sink while increasing the surface area available for more effective heat dissipation. Silent Boost is utilizing Hydro Wave Bearing fan with specially designed cross-section vents and it's noise level is only 21 dBA. These cross-section vents enables multi-directional air intake to increase airflow while keeping wind noise to the minimal. Venus 12 will be equipped with a unique "triple-blade" fan capable of providing 72.92CFM at 5500RPM at only 48dBA. Through supplied 3.5" Drive Bay Controller or PCI Slot Controller, the High Performance fan can be manually controlled according to the specific working environment. Or by employing the Automatic Temperature Control feature, Venus 12 is capable of adjusting its own fan speed according to CPU temperature.

For cost-effective market driven by decreasing overall cost, TR2 M6 will seem a lot more attractive. The simplicity of the tool-less clip mechanism makes installing these units a snap. And the use of all copper plate underneath the heat sink will improve thermal performance.
<br>Venus 12, Silent Boost K8 and TR2 M6 will be available in September 2003 worldwide. Please visit http://www.thermaltake.com for detail specification and future updates.
