August 2002 - Thermaltake Technology, a leading manufacturer of high performance thermal solution announced today their latest 1U server thermal solution support for AMD Opteron: A1827.

Mr. Kenny Lin, president of Thermaltake, stated, "Thermaltake is renowned for its thermal design for today's high end PC and we are now applying these knowledge and expertise to server systems." Through years of experience, Thermaltake has now extended the thermal headroom to offer the highest performance 1U server solution.

The A1827 utilizes all copper heat sink with Tiny Fin Technology to maximize the heat conductivity from heat source to the heat sink. Heat sink itself is 100mm x 70mm x 13mm in dimension with a 70mm x 70mm x 10mm ReverFlow fan on top. Traditional fan design where airflow is directed towards the heat sink cannot function properly due to very limited overhead clearance in a 1U environment. ReverFlow fan greatly increases the airflow by reversing the flow.

A1827 comes bundled with Back Plate & Insulator to ensure proper installation.

Availability:
A1827 will be available in September 2003 worldwide. Please visit http://www.thermaltake.com for detail specification and future updates. Thermaltake supports custom modifications of any of these products.
