problemi installazione ubuntu

Ma allora lo devo lanciare da suse!! E' per questo che nn lo trovo sotto xp!! Senti, scusa se ti lancio un altro problema prima di risolvere quello proposto ieri ma stama ho un altro quesito da proporti: xche le stampanti che ho installato e messo in condivisione sul pc con xp il server con suse nn me le rileva? tutti i pc che sono in rete le riconoscono mentre suse no! quando vado nel gestore di stampa da linux e aggiungo una nuova stampante mi propone la lista dei pc in rete workgroup tra cui c'è anche quello con xp, lo clicco ma nn mi da nessuna stampante disponibile, eppure ce ne sono ben 2 di installate e funzionanti! mmmmm...

prima consiglio, googla un po su parole chiave tipo "condivisione stampanti linux windows" e variaizoni sul tema

Si ho dato un occhiata e sto facendo le varie prove, ma la cosa strana è che i pc si vedono ma le stampanti no! boh! Se risolvo ti so dire, se ti viene in mente qualcosa aggiornami! grazie infinite!

Vorrei modificare l'ordine del bootloader di ubuntu, cioè vorrei mettere come primo s.o. di boot windows xp, in maniera che qualsiasi utente poco pratico che acceda al mio pc non si trovi ubuntu..
questo di seguito è il file menu.lst, che modifiche devo fare?

Volevo sapere in che modo si può disabilitare la scheda audio integrata della mobo! ve lo chiedo xchè due giorni fa ho reinstallato ubuntu ma nn sento un accipicchia di suono e credo che il problema sia appunto che sia settata come default la scheda integrata invece della mia audigy 2! grazie!!

da bios.. si disattiva..
invece per il boot, ci dovrebbe essere una comoda interfaccia in desktop - impostazioni- boot manager..

nel caso non sia cosi.. devi modificare queste righe

ma non c'è modo di configurare la scheda audio? tipo qualche file .conf o roba del genere?

non saprei.. non conosco la tua scheda madre.. di solito quelle sono cose che si fanno durante l'installazione.. sicuramente ci sara il modo di configurarlo..

cmq non ho ben capito una cosa.. tu dici di non sentire nulla perchè credi che non sia configurata.. ma il demone audio è attivo? se si quale? controlla se haio esd o alsa.. è sempre in impostazioni dove cè boot manager

ps. dimenticavo.. li trovi li se usi gnome come me.. se no in kde credo che sia nel centro di controllo.

Ho risolto come immaginavo disattivando l'integrata, da bios come mi hai suggerito!
Ho alsa! ma se lancio da terminale il comando alsaconfig mi dice che nn conosce il comando..

magari ti manca il pacchetto..

Ubuntu, alsa è installato, almeno il pacchetto base!

il comando e' alsaconf, e lo devi lanciare come root, cioe', su ubutnu/kubuntu, devi scrivere sudo alsaconf
