Epox 8K3A+ stop on blu-bar screen windows Xp

Messaggiodi iname1030 il 01 ago 2002, 00:00

Dear Sirs,
I write from Italy and I have the last version of bios, drivers installed on Motherboard 8K3A+ and Raid Conrtroller High Point 372.
The O/S is Windows Xp Professional installed on first disk on Raid-0 (I have created in RAID BIOS Configuration Utility one RAID 0
and two partitions on Raid D:\ and F:\);another disk is on first channel IDE and is C:\ (the O/S place for boot.ini, ntldr etc) and
on Adaptec 2940 UW Pro I have disk E:\ with another O/S -Xp
Just right:
C:\ on IDE primary channel (noO/S but file for boot)
D:\ on controller High Point 372 RAID 0 and O/S installed (on RAID utiliy HDD1 and boot disk)
E:\ SCSI disk and another O/S (windows XP)
F:\ on controller High Point 372 RAID 0 no O/S (on RAID utility disk it's disk hidden)
G:\CD SCSI bootable

In the BIOS ->ADVANCED BIOS FEATURES in CMOS UTILITY BOOT I have settings for boot:
**ATA RAID or SCSI Card Boot: RAID-
**First BOOT:HDD 1-
**Second BOOT :SCSI-
**Third BOOT:SCSI-
**ETC.....

Now the problem:
-I installed the first O/S on disk SCSI and I have no problem.
-I installed the second O/S on RAID (Principal O/S ) and work
for some time.
-Now when boot the system and start Windows Xp it's stop
on screen we have the blu-bar on movement and I reboot
it's the same:the system stop.
-I have reinstalled the 0/S and the drivers of many cards and
perfherials more time but its' the same:no problem of drivers.
-I have controlled in the BIOS and **FIRST BOOT DISK is
setting on HDD-0 !! Why?I have setting it on HDD-1!
-I go on RAI BIOS Configuration Utility (Ctrl+H) and the boot disk is HDD-0 !!
-OK for few time the system re-work but I have always the new stop at
blu-bar and,the setting in BIOS it's OK but Ihave only one possibilty:
reinstal everything. No posible work in this situation.

How can I fix this problem?
I hope in your help and thanks in advance for your interesting.
If you have more info don't exitate at contact me.
Best regards.

andrà di moda ;)

Try to test the CMOS battery, maybe the cause of your problem.

Ciao,
